The Vital Balance

Approach

From Movement to Metabolism

I began my career studying movement — how the body heals, adapts, and regains strength.

As a licensed physical therapist, I witnessed something deeper than injury recovery. I saw how energy, inflammation, muscle loss, metabolic dysfunction, and hormonal shifts shape long-term health.

Rehabilitation wasn’t just about joints and muscles — it was about understanding each individual’s physiology and the underlying drivers of dysfunction.

That realization led me to the study of nutritional biochemistry and functional medicine.

I became increasingly interested in the root causes behind fatigue, metabolic slowdown, insulin resistance, micronutrient depletion, and the physiological changes that occur in midlife.

Through Vital Balance, I now focus on helping individuals support metabolic resilience, restore energy, and build long-term health through personalized nutrition care.

Designed for Midlife and Beyond

Midlife brings important physiological changes that can affect metabolism, energy levels, body composition, and overall health. Nutrition strategies that once worked may no longer produce the same results.

A targeted nutrition approach can help restore metabolic balance and support long-term health.

This approach may be especially helpful for individuals experiencing:

• Low or inconsistent energy

• Slower metabolism

• Difficulty losing weight despite healthy habits
• Shifts in body composition, including reduced muscle mass or strength

Other common signs of metabolic imbalance include:

• Persistent fatigue or afternoon energy crashes
• Cravings for sugar or carbohydrates
• Blood sugar instability or appetite dysregulation
• Digestive discomfort, headaches, or brain fog
• Poor sleep or waking between 2–4 AM
• Increased inflammation or joint stiffness
• Mood changes, irritability, or low motivation
• Reduced exercise tolerance or slower recovery
• Elevated cholesterol or blood pressure
